Dale Berndt was born and raised on a ranch north of Lakeside and is presently 58 years old.  He is married to Cindy (Adam) and they have three grown children and nine grandchildren.

Dale has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, U.S. Army Commission, is a Viet Nam veteran and recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.  Dale was on the PREMA committee in 1995 to review and rewrite the bylaws.

In 2001-2002, Dale was president of the Nebraska Association of Fair Managers, and is a member of the local Sheridan County Fair Board.  He was a past officer and member of the Sheridan County Extension Board and 4-H Council.  Dale served 17 years on the local rural school board and is a member of the United Methodist Church (presently finance chair).  He is a Master Mason (past Master and present Secretary of the Gordon Lodge) and a York Rite Mason (present council Illustrious Master).  Dale was elected to the PREMA Board in 2003.
