PREMA would like you to know about how we bill. Statements are
mailed by the 24th of each month with a payment due
on the 10th of the following month. If the 10th
falls on a weekend or holiday, payments are due the next
business day. * The due date applies only to current
amount; previous balances are still subject to disconnection.
Meter Reading
PREMA requires all consumers to read their own meter, so
please enter the reading where indicated on the return portion
of your billing stub when you make your payment, or sign up for
e-bill and enter it from your home directly to your account.
Discount!
A discount of 10% is built into our rate schedule, if payments
are not received by the due date on the statement this discount
will be forfeited and added to the amount due.
Rates
PREMA’s current rates are printed on each statement and vary
according to the meter classification. Please call the office
if you have any questions.
Late Payments
At any time you cannot pay your electric bill in full by the
due date, please call Customer accounting to set up payment
arrangements, we will be happy to work with you! A phone
call could save you from losing your electricity and large
fees. Accounts not paid in full by the next billing date will
be disconnected, unless arrangements have been made.
Payment Methods
PREMA offers several options
for our consumers!
1. Make
your payment through the mail with the perforated pay stub and
envelope sent with your monthly statement. Be sure to include
your return address and apply adequate postage.
2. You
may make your payment in person at our office located at 251
Brayton Road, just east of the overpass on Highway 2.
3. Have
your payment automatically deducted from your checking account
on the due date. This will save writing a check and worrying
about the mail arriving late, or sign up for a reoccurring
charge to your Visa or Mastercard. * This option is not
available for electric services greater than 25 kVa. (ex:
irrigation) These options do require you to sign an
authorization form, please contact customer accounting.
4. Call
us! We can take information from your debit card or a Visa and
MasterCard credit card. * This option is not available for
electric services greater than 25 kVa. (ex: irrigation)
