Annual Billing

 
 

PREMA offers to consumers the opportunity to sign qualifying services up as annual billing accounts.  Qualifying services are small commercial meters, usually stock services that use less than 7,200 kWh per year.  Residential meters that will be considered are those homes that are occupied only part of a year with a usage of less than 7,200 kWh per year.. 

Those who choose this form of billing are billed the monthly service charge in advance and required to read their meter(s) in the month of October. A meter reading request card will be sent in the month of October, with a reading due back in the office by the 10th of November. If the reading is not received on time, PREMA will read the meters and charge the member $50.00 per meter, so remember to read your meters!  The November billing statement will reflect any reported usage and a year’s prepayment of the monthly service charge.  This style of billing is a great time saver for those with stock services many miles from home and for those unoccupied homes that you may have been asking a neighbor to read for you each month.  An annual account can be set up anytime during the year with the charges prorated until November.
